The situation before
Managers and owners had no direct access to their own figures. To learn a simple thing, such as the margin or yesterday's sales, they had to ask an analyst or the IT department and wait for hours.
Meanwhile the analysts spent their time on one-off requests instead of real analysis.
What we built
We connected an AI agent to a read-only copy of the company's database. A manager writes a question in plain language, and the agent builds the query, runs it and returns the figure.
Next to every answer the agent shows the query it used and the period of data, so any figure can be checked. The agent cannot change anything in the database.
Recurring reports now arrive on schedule in the messenger or email the team already uses.
What changed
Routine questions no longer queue up behind the analysts. Management sees the figures when they are needed, and the analysts return to the work that needs their expertise.
Because every answer shows its query, the finance team can verify it, and trust in the figures does not depend on trust in the assistant.
